Bluetooth OBD2 Adapter

Hi Guys,

I want to get more information regarding my cars performance on the fly and I was wondering if anyone of you could recommend a good bluetooth OBD 2 adapter than I can use with an android device.

Thanks in advance

Thanks I think that is the one to go for.

Unfortunately it wont work with my 97 Audi so ill have to buy another for that car.

P.S Do you know if there are any stores which stock these or is it better to just buy it online

If you get the ELM 327 from China, be SURE TO destroy the CD/DVD software that comes with it.

Dont even let it within 5 feet of any computer.

Shyte! Now you tell me! lol

I installed the software but the PC started picking up virus stuff so i uninstalled. Hopefully the virus scan cleaned any of the unwanted gifts off

The device works lekker. I cant use it on my MR2 coz that has full management.
Tried it on the 86 with the free torque app on my galaxy tab and it works nice.
I need to get the full paid version of the app still.

Havent properly tried it with the S5 yet.
Will probably have the same issue as Wesley

Can this device be used on the STD spec as well? Or only High Spec (Bluetooth enabled)...?

No no, it has nothing to with the features of the car, all new
Cars now have obd2 diagnostics you plug the dongle in the port under the steering wheel (not sure where it is in the 86 but it needs to be within 18 inches of the steering) , the bluetooth comes in with the dongle and how it connects to your phone and pc etc.

I just purchased the WiFi ELM2 OBD2 adapter from Zasttra...3-5 days for delivery... Needed the WiFi cos I have the iPhone.

Hope it works...also had to purchase Dash Commander from the App Store...Looks good, but still need to test it with the Device...

Lets hope its worth it!
