openflash header replica?
this is interesting.. waiting for some updates. Looked up the company and nothing.
Edit: found this posted on their Facebook "We are now accpeting pre orders for #UEL msrp$650. Our introductory price $550 + shipping or pick up. Hopefully our first 10 headers will be coming before July 19 for the RACE cancer events for display" that first part sounds super sketchy, pre orders?

Unless they bought in bulk from open flash or found the same maker from Asia perhaps?

I'm pretty sure that Openflash headers are made by Stivo Concepts in the Philipines. The header pictured above looks like their work.

And it's the same price as the OFH anyways. If you're going to make a knockoff, at least make it cheaper than the real part. Plus, the OFH is one of the least expensive offerings out there. Knock off HKS or something.

I was under the impression that vishnu custom built/tuned the header in shop, and just outsourced the production. In which case shiv would not just be some distributor, but the guy getting screwed over by a production crew cutting him out of sales on a product he designed. I could be completely incorrect on who designed the OFH, but that wouldn't account for the various EL and UEL versions they produced/tested before deciding on this one.
Not that it is the case, but think about the implications. You design a product, contact a company to produce it, they agree on a price. you buy it at that price, then add on alittle more to the price to cover all the design, marketing, and distribution. The production company tells you they can "only" make X per month, but insted they mass produce them, and secretly market them under an unaffiliated name, charge the full market price, and bank all the profits. Basically competing against you with your own product, while artificially limiting the number you can sale, in order to increase their own market base. The picture shown above certainly looks like our header but looks can be deceiving at times. Not something I lose too much sleep over |

We are definitely not selling OFHs to anyone but our customers. Wouldn't make sense given the backorder we are dealing with. Our first objective is to fill customer orders. Once we get to the point where OFHs are in-stock and sitting on the shelves, we may set up a distribution network. But we aren't there just yet.
