Smile OpenFlash Manager v1.08.3 now available for download (FLKC)

Hi guys,
Please download the newest version of OF Manager. In this latest version, we fixed a few minor bugs. One of the issues fixed was logging of Fine Learning Knock Correction. Earlier versions of OF Manager weren't interpreting the small negative ignition retard values correction (showing 100 instead). This fixes that as shown in the datalog below. FKLC is only active in USDM ROMs right now (C and D family). Now that this bug is fixed, we will expand support to other ROMs.

v1.60 OTS Stage 2 UEL (91oct):
http://datazap.me/u/shivvishnu/oft-l...0&data=1-10-12

We will be releasing v1.60 OTS maps very soon. The mapping is done. Now I just have to find the time to sit down in create files versions for all the different ROM types

Cheers,
Shiv

Awesome Shiv, thanks!

Do you have any plans to start building your OTS maps off the newest CalID B01 at some point for those of us that don't want the hassle of going to the dealer and trying to convince them to update our ECU's?

It's definitely a future release. And it's something I've already evaluated on the road pretty carefully.. The only thing that has kept us from doing this is that we have yet to implement launch control and FFS in B01 ROMs. Once we do that, it makes sense to make the switch. But frankly, I have yet to quantify any benefit to running our OTS A01-based maps over a similarly mapped B01-based map. So it's not been a big priority for us. But perhaps the next major map release (v2.0 OTS) will be B01 based. Just wish there were more days in the week to get FFS and LC implemented

In v1.60, we have made the following changes:

-Added support for A01F ROM
-Extensively revised Stage 1 mapping (new MAF scaling, new fuel mapping, new ignition mapping, tweaked VVT mapping)
-Revised Stage 2 (revised ignition mapping)
-Added both 91 an 93 oct map variants
-No changes to E85 maps at this time.

By the time the v1.60 maps are released, there may be a few more changes. But that is all for now

When you say: Revised Stage 2, will Stage 2 get all of those "Extensive revisions" that stage 1 got such as (new MAF scaling, new fuel mapping, new ignition mapping, tweaked VVT mapping)?

This sounds like good news. Are the lack of changes for e85 from lack of opportunity to tweak or from an understanding that not much is to be gained or improved?

Woot. 93 maps available soon!

If you don't mind, where did you make changes to the ignition timing for the Stg 2 maps? Did you advance or retard? I tend to get a bit of knock corr while on the highway cruising around 3k. I attribute that to ignition timing but it is also very likely that its highway crusing and expected in that range.

Thx again for your continued support for these products. I got the OFH and OFT and together has transformed my car for the better. Throttle response is much more intuitive.
