Alcantara material?

Anyone know where I can get material that matches the Alcantara on the BRZ? I'm thinking I may want to wrap my visors to match my seats. Or maybe leather...

There are loads of suppliers out there... heck your local fabric shop likely has it. The tricky part will be color matching, however most suppliers will send you samples for really cheap.

If you're looking to do a replacement, DO NOT buy the cheap stuff. Search around and see if you can find the authentic "Alcantara" or "Ultra Suede" materials produced by the company Toray. They are the creators of ultra-suede and Alcantara and the quality is far and away better than anything else.

JPM buys directly from Toray. They pride themselves on matching the quality of OEM.

Excellent! Thanks for posting that link, 2pt5RS. This is exactly what I want to do with the BRZ - replace the stock shift boot, e-brake boot, and cover the sunvisors with Alcantara, replace the perforated leather steering wheel with smooth leather, and maybe add some additional leather/alcantara here and there. Then see about getting the silver painted trim pieces re-done to look more like real metal - Audi does this very well with their interiors. Aside from not being cool to the touch, you can't tell the difference between the painted plastic trim and the real metal trim they use on different surfaces.

I can tell you they will be using my BRZ as a test mule for some parts. They've also ordered a BRZ for themselves, which will help get parts out faster.

Yes, JPM is good. I meant my response in regard to local fabric stores. Most of the time the stuff that the local fabric shops sell is very cheap quality.

Unfortunately, there are only a few business that I trust. I would avoid eBay if at all possible as every customer of ours who has purchased from there has been sold imitation material. We have been in business since 2008 and every year there is a new "style", a new "price" and a new business attempting to sell "genuine" Alcantara to the public. There will always be a knock-off for a quality brand such as Alcantara and I encourage each individual interested in purchasing this material to educate himself or herself as to what makes genuine Alcantara genuine. Additionally, there is only one importer for genuine Alcantara in the United States and this importer purchases directly from Alcantara SpA in Italy. All domestic companies who use or work with this material will purchase directly from this importer, including JPM. Any business that informs you otherwise is being dishonest.

Finally, I will be reviewing sponsorship / vendorship options over the coming weeks for the community. We're excited for this platform and are quite eager to dig in and work on our own BRZ once she arrives! Oh, and we happily offer samples upon request at no charge (up to 6 swatches). We have seen a BRZ in person and were allowed to sit in and play with the vehicle. The color choice you'll want if you do wish to match your Alcantara seat centers is Pure Black (Color Code 9040).

Anyone find this for cheaper than $114/yard? I spent significantly less per yard for high quality fabric when the Mrs and I had a couch redone, even the most expensive fabric we looked at was a lower cost than this
