twisty roads near panhandle?

Hey, I might be moving to Florida panhandle area soon. This car is 10x more fun on the weekends in California because there are some amazing stretches of twisty empty canyon roads to enjoy. It brings the car to life.

I was just wondering if there are some similar types of roads in Floridaish area. I grew up there, but don't really remember any. I'd even be willing to drive a couple hours. Maybe Alabama has roads like this?

Its the biggest thing stopping my move right now.. I am unsure I would be able to get as much out of this amazing machine if I was stuck going straight all the time.

There are very few twisty roads near this area. However we do have some tracks nearby like NOLA Motorports park and Barber. So it depends on how far you want to drive. Wiregrass SCCA Solo every 2nd Sunday and stuff. Where is the panhandle are you going?

That's a shame. I am nervous about race tracks. I don't really want to race anyone or be in anyones way. Do they have kind of casual fun days? I would be moving to the Pensacola area.

I'm local to Pensacola along with quite a few others in the area around us and as far as I know there's only a few roads that could be considered to be twisty in Pensacola.

There's the active Gulf Coast SCCA region if you're into autocross though

I wouldn't really call any roads in the area twisty. My favorite part of Pensacola is the I-10/I-100 on ramp, haha. I am not sure you understand track days at race tracks. There is no racing invovled. It is a driver education event where you learn how to drive your car better in a controlled environment. Are you Navy?

My dad was Navy. Pensacola was his last stop before retiring, and was nice enough to stay close by. I'll definitely check out the track days if I make the move.

So was mine. Although his last stop was Eglin AFB nearby as a Navy liason. I really love the area, so I came back after college.
