PNW: My first track day impressions with BRZ (videos, logs and pictures included)

Hi everyone,

After attending couple track events with this car all I can say is "wow"
It has a lot of potential IMO..Car is stock powered, with street pads and R compound tires. I just wanted to get a nice baseline to see the progression and I will continuously update information

Please see this link (or my signature) for the additional info :

I sure will, I just wanted to do some baseline and didn't really care much about them I will do some research first
Have you guys ever tried Carbotech XP 12/10 combo on this car? ST43 was a bit overkill in my Vette so I am not sure, they last forever though

Sure have.

Use square pads on this car.

Did you have a BBK on the vette? Vettes murder brakes with the stock setup on track, particularly with r-comps or hoosiers.

Grand sport comes with big Z06 brakes (6 piston calipers and padlet design) so I haven't tried BBK

Any particular reason why you guys prefer square setup on this car? I wonder if XP 12/12 would be a bit overkill but I will soon install my Rotrex kit so maybe it would be a better match.

Well, even a Z06 is underbraked under track/race applications.

Based on your feedback, I suspect the XP10 will work just fine for you at the moment.

There is a Project Mu Club Racer special going on though, if you want to try something different.
