Question Scion Service Schedule?

It is my understanding that the first Scion FR-S Service Schedule is due at 7500 miles, correct?

Why does Subaru BRZ have their first service due at 3750 miles? Looks like Subaru offers more complementary service maintenance than Scion.

I'm curious why the vast difference, as 7500 miles is DOUBLE Subaru's first service.

Are you sure it's miles? In Canada my Scion service interval is every 7500 KM

Where do you see that the BRZ interval is 3750? Their manual says 7500 just like ours.

Edit: miles, for clarity

My service book (BRZ) says 3000 mi for the first service, then every 7500 mi starting at 7500 mi.

The FR-S is a tougher machine ...

NOTE: The FR-S service manual calls for an engine oil and filter change at 3,750 miles, UNDER SEVERE conditions.

Can't speak for Subaru but I know that Scion Boost is 7500 miles per oil change- 7500, 15000, 22500.

No word from Toyota about doing it any earlier.

No word from Toyota about doing it any earlier.
They do it whenever you want it. Your first 3 oil changes are free.

I only drive ~2000 miles a year and I got my oil changed back a few months ago when I had 1800 miles on my car. You obviously can't wait until the mileage is correct since for some drivers such as myself since it would take years to get the "proper" mileage.

That's why they'll usually say something like "once every 7500 miles or 7.5 months, whichever is sooner".

That's a standard Toyota thing, they probably didn't take into account the fact that it's an FR-S

I followed the subaru schedule at 3700 since it is subaru who makes our engine...just saying.

but i plan to do it every 5000 miles after that...can't harm the engine by doing it a bit earlier.

My dealer started me out at 7500 and then changed my schedule to 3750 after the tsb came out about the small intervals for the FRS.
