Current Delivery Time and Prices

Hey everyone,

I am looking to purchase a FRS this March/April. What is the current wait time for delivery for 2014 FRS and what are people paying before taxes on this car?

I plan on using CCC to make this purchase, anyone have good contacts for a good deal?

Thanks!

Most of the local dealers have stock so depending what color/options you wanted it could be available that day. Otherwise if they have to order one in ~6-8 weeks I think is usual?

So the demand is not as crazy as it was a year or 2 back?
Anyone know dealers that are no hassle and are good for prices?

Thanks

For a 2014 there probably isn't much haggle room whereas with a 2013 they would be trying to clear them out and could.

The demand fluctuates seasonally, typically in the winter sales drop a bit for sports cars and rises in the summer. As a result a bit of inventory catchs / builds up so they are more common now. Most dealers should have a couple on their lot and if you want a specific color or something they can often trade between dealers to get you what you want.

Last summer I was looking for a BRZ and I was told it takes 2 to 3 months to get one and no demos.

I was looking back in October and there weren't supply issues with FRS, plenty of stock. BRZ was still having supply issues (I got the only 6MT one that was being stocked by the dealer, they sell one within a week or two of stocking one).

Didn't James May said on Top Gear that the production ratio for this car between Toyota and Subaru is like 9:1?

Its more like 2.8-1 here in North America for sales from what I have read.

^^ That might be true for sales, but it doesn't change the production numbers. Last I heard the production line is 91% Toyato/Scion and 9% Subaru, but that might have changed.

I also see more than 3:1 FRS:BRZ locally, I would bet it's closer to 10:1.

I am curiouswhat type of a discount you will get on the Scion. I think if you want a discount the Nissan 370,will be your best bet.

Come to the GTA I see like 20+ FRS a day outside of winter and I don't want to spam the spotted thread. My friend said his co-workers even did a group buy with Scion.
