Invidia catless Front pipe with Greddy Evo 3

Hey guys! I currently have a Greddy Evo 3 exhaust and I think it's kind of quiet now. Maybe it's because I'm so use to it... but I was wondering how much louder it would be with an Invidia Catless Front Pipe. Also, I heard that I would lose power if I put in a downpipe. Is this true?

Since you are thinking of going catless, it will make the car quite a bit louder. There might be some rasp introduced with this setup due to the lack of a cat, but I'm not entirely positive about that. Someone else who has experience with these pieces might be able to chime in.

I have never heard of losing power with an aftermarket front pipe. I personally own Perrin's front pipe and they claim a 5-7 WHP gain. Hope that helps!

Losing power with after market pipes are like saying a pig can fly.

Any after market pipes I have seen are all about less restriction and less weight than the stock pipes. Because stock pipes have to cut cost, and maintain Federal mandatory.

For all that said, it is Illegal to drive a car without a Catalytic Converter, and the fine could be up to 5 years or 25,000 or both.

There are ways to get around it, there are people driving like that. But it is still against the law, and you will be screwed if you are involved in anything that will question the Authority.

For example, If you are involved in an accident, you had the rights of ways....the other party lawyer asked to inspect your car, and your car have no Catalytic converter, then it is against the law, that such car is banned from driving on the street. Therefore, everything will be against you....including Jail and Fine.

Do never risk it....for about 5-15 HP gains...you can gain as much if you drive alone, take out all the seats in your car, spare tires + Stereo system...etc...or even more, and still Legal

There is still a cat in the header. I just put the Invidia front pipe on my car, catless and non-resonated and I am extremely satisfied. I had the Perrin cat back non-resonated and really liked the sound but thought that it was still a little quiet and the invidia front pipe definitely woke up the sound a little bit. It isn't crazy but in my opinion just enough to satisfy.

I think the first step would be to get your hearing checked, possibly hearing aid.

Realistically are you driving with the silencers in?

I'm running the Invidia catless front pipe with a catless header, and it's very loud inside and outside. You won't lose power -- it'll have a little more power over the catted front pipes but not by much.

I have a Greddy Evo3 and I paired it with a nameless downpipe/overpipe catted with the helmholtz resonator, no power loss but gains and the car sounds great with the silencers off because theres no more droning. But I kept the silencers on for daily driving unless I go to meets.
Theres no point going catless unless its a track car or if you like getting attention from cops, you wont suffer much loss in power too.

how much louder is it from just the catback? And how much did the downpipe/overpipe cost?

With just the greddy evo3, it was a loud tone with the silencers off and it would drone cruising, but with the silencers on then it was pretty much good.

The downpipe/overpipe made the exhaust note much deeper and even with the silencers off, it did not drone at all and only when I apply the throttle then you'd really hear the exhaust. The exhaust is pretty much quiet with the silencers on and doesnt get loud until you accelerate which was what I was looking for.
