MPG! AHH
Hey all! So I have some concerns about fuel economy here. I struggle to get 300 miles per tank and that is a bit concerning. No matter how lightly I drive the thing my mpg just don't improve. Mind you it is winter and it could be the fuel. Is there anything that could help? I am currently all stock with an Openflash Stage 1 tune. Would an intake help? Front pipe? better drop in filter? Is anyone having such problems? Thanks in advance!

More info wouldn't hurt. How many miles on your car, city, or highway? Lots of things dictate your fuel econ.

Iam going to say that the majority of my driving is highway driving with very little city driving. Don't know the ratio. I have roughly 8,500 miles on her. Running 93 fuel.

Car speed ranges around 50-70 mph. Guilty of smashing the pedal down every once and a while but not often at all. I currently have winter tires on there and pressure is good. M/T. Can I expect increase in mpg once broken in?

I have about 7600 miles and I'm MT.
I usually can get over 300 miles with about 1/4 (maybe a tad less) of fuel left and I use 93 as well (located in NJ) I also have a set of blizzak ws70s now and I think the fuel economy got hit maybe ~2 mpg but it's still pretty good. I'm getting about 27.5~29mpg ish per tank. Maybe the driving style is more of a spirited one for you compared to me? |

I get 310-315 miles from a full tank until the gas light comes on. This has been my avg since picking up the car from the dealership. i do about 85/15 hwy/city all stock except exhaust and drop in filter which did not change my MPG. Funny thing is it doesn't even seem to change when i drive aggressively for one tank of gas. oh and i live in an area where everything is pretty much flat except for overpasses. Maybe it is your tune or if you're driving in hilly areas.

If you warm your car up and drive in a cold climate with snow tires it will go down a lot.....
In the summer on the highway I've hit 33avg but now i'm in the low 20's. I also have the oft stg1 tune....i didn't notice mileage change. It is older 1.34 not 1.50.
