Jesse's Whiteout FRS - Parting Out

So, it's been about three years of owning the car, and I still love to drive it. However, as of late, I have been driving it less and less, and with the addition to my family, I think it is time I get rid of the car and focus on some other things.

With that said, I am going to part the car out. I will create F/S threads next week, but if there is something you are interested in, please feel free to send me a PM on here.

Thanks!

Hey all -

I figured I would start one of these to share and keep track of any progress I have with my car. This is my first Scion/Toyota - Subaru product... Before this, I've had a bunch of Honda's, which I am still extremely fond of.

In 2010, I bought an S2000 which I absolutely loved. However, I am 6'5 and the S2K, even with a lowered seat, just didnt really suit me. After about 11 months, I sold it. I then had 2 more Civics and a Nissan Titan before going to the Philadelphia Auto Show in January, 2013 and sitting in the new FRS. I was sold... 2 weeks later I bought my car.

Some of my old cars:
My old Civic - Probably miss this car the most. I owned it for about 6 years.

S2K:

Another car I should have kept.. 42mpg highway in this! Lowered on Almighy gray Regas:

FRS:

Here it is when I first took delivery - Jan 31st, 2013.

I'm having issues with my PhotoBucket - but here is a link to a picture (pre downforce aero and tint) http://www.flickr.com/photos/kylecrawford/9390466464/

6/19/14 Update:
I finally received my seats and installed them. Absolutely thrilled with how they look and feel. My wife and I are expecting our first child any day now, so things might be on hold with the car for now.

I still own my 96 honda civic. Stock motor with bolt ons as my commuter. Frs is not the best for commuting compared to a honda civic.

a few updates:

The Gram Lights are now off the car and up for sale. I took delivery of my new wheels about two weeks ago. They are NSX-Spec Regamaster Evo's. I'm waiting on 5x114.3 adapters so I can test fit them and send off to get powder coated. I also finally ordered a set a Tom's Tail lights from the guys at Ravspec. Really great customer service I experienced from them.

Waiting on:
- Adapters (5x100 > 5x114.3)
- Perrin antenna (4")
- Tom's Tail lights (scheduled to arrive today!)
- Perrin Slim shift knob
- Refinish wheels once I see how they fit

November, 2013:

Installed the Tom's tail lights, Perrin Antenna, Perrin shift knob and HID's. I'm still waiting on the 5x100>5x114.3 adapters. There was a miscommunication on my end with the supplier, but Jeremy and Yo from FT86Speedfactory have really stepped up and helped me out with it all. Once the adapters are here, I will be able to test fit the wheels.

Wheel specs: R-17x9 +38 (plus 11mm adapter puts it at a +27) F- 17x8+35 (plus a 25mm adapter puts it at a +10). The front should sit more or less identical to how the Gram Lights sat. The rear has me worried a bit. Ideally, I would like to run a 255 tire, but I don't really see that happening without doing something to the body of the car, which I am against.

The car is pretty much parked for the winter. How it currently looks

With a friend of mine and his gorgeous EF:

6k HID kit comparison to stock bulb... Looks much more blue in this picture. In person, its more of a white color:

From H2Oi this past September:

Finally got the Regamasters installed... on the rear at least. The wheels are NSX-spec - 17x9+38 rear and 17x8+35 Front. Since they are 5x114.3, I picked up 11mm and 15mm Project Kics Adapters to convert from 5x100. So, effectively, the wheels are now 17x9+27 and 17x8+20. I am running -3.5 degrees of camber in the rear and have done nothing to the fenders.

Since the adapters are so thin, the FRS 5x100 studs stuck out too much, which resulted in them needed to be cut/trimmed. I will have the front done sometime this week.
