NTEC/DonHerring MSR Track Day Sat. 9/28/2013 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I wanted to go ahead and extend an offer to any of you guys who want to bring your FR-S/BRZ out to Motorsport Ranch Cresson at the end of this month. The North Texas Evo Owners Club (NTEC) has the pleasure of hosting a track day being sponsored by Don Herring Jr. of Don Herring Mitsubishi. There are currently only 17/39 slots taken.

The fee for the is $95, which is partially paid for by Don Herring Jr! This is a significant savings over the $150 price. The day is open for anyone to register. Obviously all of the proper safety equipment and procedures are in place the same as for any other track day.

How many miles is generally suggested before taking a car to the track? I've never been to track days or anything like that, so I need to read up on that link to get a bit more informed on the process and guidelines.

If you're past the break in point and driving spiritedly, then your car is perfectly ready.

I would suggest changing your oil before and after the track day, but other than that you should be fine.

I tracked my BRZ bone stock back in June. I had brake fade on the 3rd and 4th sessions but it was manageable.
