Head Unit Brightness

When first turning on the car in the daytime the head unit is not that bright. It's brighter then the night time setting but not 100%.

I have to go info>setting and select it to night then back to daytime for it to get 100% brightness.

Is anybody else experiencing this also?

Not a big deal.. just a PITA.

I did not have that happen but mine stopped changing the brightness with the lights even though the option is selected

Hold down your display button. Change contrast and brightness. I noticed when I changed the contrast while in NAV the greens and colors looked a LOT better. Those are your permanent settings, the menu one is pretty crap IMHO.

You can also set your unit to use headlights to dim it or time of day (IE set for sunrise/sunset). What blows my mind is they HAVE sunruse/sunset maps on the HU, and you can't have it automatically adjust for the season. You have to plug in times manually. The menus in this HU are so non-intuitive and awfully setup, but once you finally get everything configured it's nice.
