Gaskets & Headers question

Did you guys re-use the header to block gaskets and/or header to overpipe gasket or did you guys purchase new ones when installing an aftermarket header? If re-use how many miles did you guys have on the gasket(s)? I know it's best to purchase new ones but I feel that my gaskets are still re-usable (w/ 3k on them). What are your thoughts on this?

Didn't do headers myself yet, but the rest of my exhaust system (Invidia) came with new gaskets. I'd probably pick up new ones, but I've once reused an old one that was falling apart since I could not get a replacement. Just added some RTV and called it a day.

My Revworks header came with a new overpipe gasket, but I re-used the OEM gaskets to the block. I can't tell if its leaking or not really. These headers make a little more noise than the stock ones with the cat in it. But if you are looking for replacements, Grimmspeed makes some quality gaskets.

Generally speaking you don't reuse any metal gasket, that being said many people do without harmful effects.

Rev Works provides gaskets but I reused my stock gaskets. (They were in great shape). Rev works sells OEM type gaskets. I did. Use their provided gasket from header to perrin over pipe. No issues.

Alright. I'll see if I need to replace them first depending on how it looks when I take off the headers. Does the grimspeed gaskets come for both the headers & the overpipe or just the headers?

Prefer local transactions (GTA). Will ship at your expense.

Ask:
M7 Catback - $900
*Been on the car for 6 months
*Sounds absolutely amazing, pops when lifting off throttle when car is warmed up.

KW-V3 - $1200
*Been on the car for 3 months last summer.
*Rides super nice, comfort is equivalent to stock if not better even though the car is a lot lower.

Will upload some pictures on the weekend.

Cheers,

***I'm getting a lot of responses for the V3's and some are wondering why the prices are so low for both items (I guess people don't like good surprises). It's because I need them gone ASAP so I can put the cash into oil ETFs and to take advantage of the low crude prices. Believe it or not, it's up to you.

Also, I'm going through all the PM's right now. Currently dealing with the first fellow member who Pm'ed me. Nothing has settled so far, so both are still on the table. I'll give priority to whoever offers a better price. I need the items gone ASAP. Oil waits for no one.

Thanks,

The stock design uses a donut gasket between the frontpipe and midpipe. Some aftermarket catbacks use a flat flange, like Perrin. Others will retain the donut gasket connection.
