Enjuku Racing - Installs Vortech Supercharger Kit

We had the pleasure of installing the new Vortech Supercharger kit on a local customers car.

www.EnjukuRacing.com

This is great kit. Totally complete and looks very clean in the engine bay.

Install was straight forward and great detailed instructions from Vortec.

Tell me, did Vortech send this hardware with their kit or are you using these on your own?

Those are not standard but can be purchased from frozen boost pretty cheap.

It looks like this picture

is a LOT like the one I took (and posted) months ago.

Idea Thief! hahaha nice install. That pulley comes REALLY close to the pipe. Also, did you have to shave down the headlights at all to make the pipes fit?

I like the clamps! especially what looks like a double clamp there at that coupling in my pic!

so I've heard talk of them adding a dimple to the boost pipe there, not sure if it will happen or not, better to ask @Brian@Vortech on that. I think it is needed for folks on oe mounts as the potential for contact exists, tho small and unlikely. Pipe is soft enough most any pipe/muffler shop can 'dimple it for you' with a BFH and a vice.

I will say that this has become a total non issue for me even with the larger pulley(s) once you go with something like a Perrin motor mount, dimple free.

I will say once you run a smaller pulley(s), that area of contact concern becomes a complete non issue and I am fine dimple free.

As I understood, no shaving of any headlamps FRS or BRZ should be needed, on production stuff, are you folks encountering the need to do this still? I though that was just the first one or two that went out as prototypes that needed that modding?

Yea the smaller pulley definitely makes that a non issue. The stock pulley comes REALLY close. I am on the stock motor mounts, myself. I doubt I would stick with the stg1 pulley anyway haha.

Had around a dozen or so cars come through here so far, and done a LOT of testing. Haven't had one make even the slightest contact yet. Sounds like a great excuse to get a smaller pulley though...
