Do you mean the wheels are tramping on acceleration? I didn't think that was a problem with these cars.
But first I've heard of it.

I've dumped the clutch and smoked the tires plenty of times. Never once had wheel hop.

I get wheel hop all the time. Just not when sideways. It happens more on damp roads. And it is violent.

Needs subframe bushings I think.

Nope, I already have them and it didn't help.

Differential bushings maybe? There are some trailing arm bushings and stuff available too but this is the first i've heard of this issue.

Control arms, controls arm bushings, and diff bushings. It worked for my G8 GT.

Watch the diff bushings in this video.

Wheel hop can come from a lot of places, if you're getting it you need to take care of all of them. I think those stock diff bushings are going to be one of the weakest links. But subframe bushings, control arm bushings, springs and shocks, and even the tires can all play a part. I know guys that would swap strut/springs packages if they were going from drag radials to slicks.

This can get as in depth as tuning the rest of the suspension.

For now, try adding 2 more psi to your tires and see if that helps.

Will diff bushings actually do anything for wheel hop? I would think only parts that actually effect the suspension (subframe and control arm) bushings would have an effect?

I get this a lot on my winter tires... If I step on it and i'm on a crappy road, my TSC goes off and you can just see my RPM's bouncing. its annoying as shit. I never noticed it with my stock tires. I just assumed it was the snows.

I replaced just the dogbone mount in my jetta with a stage 1 poly mount and there was so much less wheel hop that I actually thought id lost some power. The difference was might and day.

I seem to get this with my winter tires as well.
