When do you expect BRZs to be readily available?

I just got the call from my dealership. I'm very willing to purchase the car given I get the net trade-in/APR point that I want, which isn't incredibly unreasonable. Apparently my credit isn't the best thanks to a hospital bill from 2009, so I have to go through a long process to get it removed.

Anyway, I have absolutely no qualms with walking away if they offer anything far above 5%, as I'm not going to shoot myself in the foot for a car when I can just wait a few months and have perfect credit/apr point

So question at hand: When do you think these cars will be readily available?

I would work out your trade-in value and make a refundable deposit on a new BRZ ordered from the factory.

When it comes in , if they don't honor the trade-in value, refuse the BRZ and get your deposit back.

You can get em right now in the Northeast. For the rest of the country I would assume sometime towards the end of 2013-2014.

don't think they will ever be readily available regardless of demand!
i believe the japanese are being cautious with this car, because of the limited market the vehicle serves, and also because of the f**ked economy...just sayin'

Agreed, they are going to do their best to keep this car relatively exclusive. They won't be flooding a weak market with a car that is relatively impractical. It's crazy smart business sense. They can keep the interest up in the car with very little effort. The car is a classic and will be for a while if they don't oversell it.

In some countries there is a several year waiting list due to lack of supply; it's ridiculous! I'd say get one as soon as you can, but don't settle for a crappy interest rate, certainly. I don't have any BRZ's at my dealer but if you should decide to try and get one from the Northeast I can at least try to locate a dealer for you to call. There's just under 100 available in New England right now, which is probably more than the rest of the country combined.

you echo my sentiments exactly!
one additional note: dealers here in new england don't really give 2 fu**s
about them because of limited supply, and margins are too thin on 'em.
they are too busy selling the ''all-wheel" drive models here!' can't keep up with it!..just sayin'

this is correct! i believe (s.o.a ) apparently is misguided. dealers here would rather see the ''crosstrek" as opposed to subaru rear wheel drive sports cars!

Why when the STI version comes out of course as we'll all be ditching our BRZs for them!

this a very real possibility! why pay 25 "large"
when ya can wait a year or so when the sti version hits, and buy
the first edition with low miles for "short" money!

i agree, but taken as a whole,NONE of 'em will break any production records,
thus making the vehicle somewhat exclusive, and the brz will be the toughest to find over time.
