Formula One Pinnacle Series Window tinting done on my Whiteout.

I had the car tinted with Formula One Pinnacle 30 (legal darkness for Florida) all around. No need to go darker on the rear in this car since the car does not let a lot of light in and keeps the whole car looking dark. Also no need for a windshield strip IMO because the AS1 on out cars is like 1.5 inches (not really, but it is small).

I went legal because I was sick of fixit tickets in my youth and realized that all I cared about was keeping the car cooler in the hot FL sun.

The Pinnacle series tint is non-metallized, nonconductive nano-ceramic technology maximizes heat and ultraviolet rejection. Unlike metallic products, Pinnacle films won’t interfere with your GPS, keyless entry, radar detector, mobile phone, and other radio frequency technology you rely on in your vehicle.

Basically, it keeps it really cool without making it impossible to see out of at night and in the rain without interfering with electronic signals.

I updated, it is actually the pinnacle 30 not 15. I mixed up which was lighter.

Wondering where you got your tint done and how much it ran you. Tint is first on my list once my whiteout shows up at the dealership!

I'm also curious how much it cost. I'm considering the same tint. I got a quote for $300 locally.

I guess my place isn't that far off. But man that seems high for such a tiny car.

I think we paid $400 for the Touareg, and that thing has 9 friggen windows.

It was $60 more than the next level down. There were some cheaper films for around $175. There are $99 tint jobs, but the tint quality sucks and the jobs are usually poorly installed.

The pinnacle series tint has a lifetime warranty against fading, bubbles and anything to do with the tint. This is a warranty from the manufacturer so even if your installer goes out of business you still have warranty.

The place I go to has a slogan of "We fix the $99 tint jobs".

I hear ya. I've always used Pinnacle in the past. Just wanted to see if the pricing I was getting was within reason.

I was quoted $300 to do the back and sides using the Pinnacle Ceramic tint at the local shop I usually use.

I also got a quote of $400 to do the same thing from another shop.

It's within reason. I wouldn't pay more then that though. Maybe get them to throw in a windshield strip for that price too.
