FT86Club Musicians thread

schoenberg posted about his cello and we realized FT86Club probably has quite a few musicians hanging around. So whether you play for fun or to make a living... post photos and share your talent with the group!

I play the tuba, which may not be the right instrument for this car. Heck, one of my cases is bigger than the interior dimensions of the FR-S (it barely fit into my old Honda Element).

It's technically a tuba made to look like a saxophone, but most people call it a Jazzophone (which technically a mostly-cylindrical instrument like a valve trombone). I sold it a few years ago to a gentleman in Norway.

I've designed a few other instruments, but with the move out to where I am now, I've had to leave my parts in storage until I can pay to ship them out here.

I'm pretty sure every one of us drummers in existence has their old kit collecting dust in their parents basement.

Seeing as how I currently have a good relationship with my neighbors that I'd rather not ruin, I'm rocking my Roland electric kit with all mesh heads. It's nice, but nothing beats acoustic.

Also, I'm attempting to learn the harmonica! I want to be able to jam with some blues more than anything.

I play guitar or at least used to. Over the years I have owned a Mexican strat, a Gibson les paul traditional as well as a 1994 Gibson es135 sold them all to buy my brz lol
still own a few low end classicals and a vox amp and will eventually be getting myself a Telecaster as my main/only good instrument (unless I land on a hand-made flamenco guitar from spain or mexico)

Traded mine in for a PRS SE Grand Am in Sapphire... It's my favorite among my guitars. I do want to get an electric drum set so I can get back into that, but the setup I played at Guitar Center was about $1500... I could get it, but I want a house first because garage :v I also have a black Starcaster (the $100 Strat that I modded to the specs of the $1100 Jimmie Vaughan signature model, and an Epiphone Les Paul.

Hmm. I don't have pictures I can share, and none current! That said, the only instrument I still play occasionally is violin. I've also played french horn and bass (and, barely, piano...) Technically singing counts but no real training.

I sidestepped a music degree (my younger sister went that route) to get a fine art degree instead...

It's about time for a new self-portrait though, so... maybe!
