WRB BRZ on 14.5lb Konig Daylite 17x7 +40, in Gold

Will get more later.

Wheels are cheap at $134 each from Discount Tire. So light too. Track setup, wearing 215/45/17 Hankook R-S3 at 22lbs each. Havent had them on a scale, JUST picked them up but I've seen the Konigs weighed at 14.6lbs so ~37lb at each corner estimated

I like! Not sure what the stock offset is...38? What effect does the 40 have?

Are these actually 7" wide or are they 7.5"?

7" wide.

Stock is +48 offset. Doesnt seem to be any issue. Just moves the wheels 8mm closer to the suspension. Going to do alignment tonight and hope -1.5 degrees on camber wont be an issue with the +40

Moves 8mm AWAY (out) from suspension. Would be real nice if you could take one off and weight it for sure. Tires should be 22lbs..

Really? I thought lower offset sunk into the car... That's why my 16x8s on my Mazda were soo far out to the edge, +50 offset on an 8" wide wheel

Nope. Lower (positive) offset= mating surface is closer to the center of the barrel = barrel moves outward relative to the hub.

It seems brighter in person. It was overcast when I took the photo. Will take more another time with more sun, it's plenty bright.

Those look great! How's konigs track history for wheel quality? I always thought they were the kinda brand you'd see at pep boys. Also, where are they made? I think I'd like a set of these on my car but kinda wish they in other colors. I found gold and green haha

Konigs are used for autocross a bit, due to light and cheap but they are not the highest quality in the world. I just cant find anyone with 17x7 5x100 forged wheels in anything close to a reasonable price. They have multiple lines and most of them ARE Pepboys BS, overweight crappy wheels but they have some for entry level racing (Daylite and Feather mainly)

If I was doing hardcore track racing (note track, not autocross) I wouldnt want Konigs but these should hold up well.

They make these in black with thin yellow stripe, gold and green

Hmm sounds like they may not be too worry-free in a daily driving application. Hardly helps that most PA roads are pretty crummy.

A few of the Konig wheels, such as the Milligram, are made by Enkei using there MAT technology. All of the Konig wheels are manufactured in very high quality, modern factories, that hold very high standards.

I didnt know about that the Enkei partnership. I was not worried about them being poor quality. Enough people driving them on cars for years, no problems.

I just usually avoided Konig in the past due to being hideously ugly usually. These are respectable though nothing special.

they look good on your car, but I'm not a fan of the brand. Everyone I know that had Konigs cracked them when DDing. That's 4 people, and one of those 4 cracked two of them weeks apart hittng some pothole.

That might sound doom and gloomy but my story IS anecdotal and 4 people and 5 cracked rims is a small sample size. Maybe just a bad batch or what have you. But I wont touch em with a 10 foot pole.
