Aftermarket SatNav, recommendations?

Any recommendations for aftermarket SatNav's that would fit in the GT that you guys have had experience with?

I can get the GTS SatNav upgrade for $1500, just wondering if there is anything else out there.

theres a number of them.. i interested myself in it a few weeks ago for my gt.. not much price difference in them tho however aftermarket have a few extra features..

these fit comfortably without the possible need of a facia.. so i was told

RYDA.com seem to be competitively cheap in my past experiences so check it out if you like..

Difference between the two is the Sony isn't SATNAV... It has mirrorlink which can connect to your compatible phone and use the phone satnav I think ill be going for the Sony in the near future as I don't need SatNav

Looking at the Eclipse series at the moment. Pricey but look great and seem high quality.

Pioneer P8450 also uses your phones sat nav through its "advanced app mode"
http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/product...0BT/index.html
Screen on it is damn impressive

The app DashCommand works with OBD data - and is supported by the Advanced app mode.

Eclipse is what Toyota and Subi use as their premium satnav unit. (think its the AVN826) http://www.eclipse-web.com/au/produc...ion/avn/827ga/ this one is the top of the range, probably still cheaper than going through Toyota.

If you have the money, i would go the Alpine unit http://www.alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=277
or the pioneer
http://www.pioneer.com.au/au/product...0BT/index.html

I wouldn't even consider the Sony.
if you were going to go something a little cheaper, the Clarion unit is pretty good

Haha they may be different models, and the US use a different brand.
but in Aust they use Eclipse, which are nice units.
Eclipse used to make some of the best head units going around there for a while, but now they focus on OEM stuff more.

I have the top line eclipse unit in my GT.

eclipse is Fujitsu Ten, which is the supplier of Toyota head units.

The software in my unit is the same as the GTS, all the screens are the same. However it is a 7 inch screen instead of 6.

It appears to be the same as the optional Sat Nav fitted to the BRZ.

I'm very happy with mine.
