How UGLY will toyota make it ????

I was playing devil's advocate, and wondering how badly they can screw up the FRS production version. Of course, standard 17 or 18" wheels.

i doubt the headlights or the tail lights will make it to production.

here's what i came up with.

I honestly like everything but the colour. At $22k, I could maybe even live with the snot green.

I highly doubt that would be a factory color, maybe a darker green, and the chops really dont look that bad, even the big tail lights are "ok" though I'd prefer the sharper looking ones

I see nothing wrong here, besides the weird color. I can work with that.

Hope you don't mind. I did a quick color swap.

I do prefer the MKIII's LFA-ish tail lights. And the front shown on the MKIII can easily be offered as a kit or something. But that right there is a great base vehicle. I really don't see the problem.

it probably will look something like that
then it wont be an interesting car anymore.
they better keep it 98% like the concept lol

I don't mind the front, but the back needs improvement. As for the side mirrors and wheels, I don't really mind the more "production" versions. The tail lights need to give the impression, eat my dust .

Seriously? I would be fantastically happy with this 'chop as the production car.

If you are actually expecting the production to look like this concept, sorry to say but prepare for disappointment. It's just the way it goes with the concept to production path. They're showing this car with 20" wheels and 18" brakes for crying out loud...

Edit: Could someone maybe clear-colour the rear turn signals, too? So it's just red and white lights, no orange.

Why are you all so happy to get a boxy car? Look how boxy the rear is. I thought this was everyone's complaint about Scion. Hypocrites.

(On a side note, well done on the chop, it is good, but I don't like settling. I'd rather make a fuss and as much noise as possible. If Toyota does read forums why let them know you're ok with being disappointed?)

I don't think they will change the front that much given the massively positive reaction. The rear will deff get changed but I think the taillights will stay.

the rendering makes me think Tc when I look at the back and I don't like that front is workable not as nice but workable

No. Most people seem to be bitching about the Scion brand because of the cult "ricer" following. I could care less about that.

And as far as voicing our opinions to Toyota:
1) I don't fancy the tail lights in the opening post's PS image. Would rather have the MKIII's lights as shown in my PS image below.

2) I don't expect the car to come with a rear diffuser. That would most likely come through after market support. And if it does come stock (sports package option), I'd expect it to be smaller like in the PS image below... or even smaller.

3) I also prefer the aggressive front of the MKIII concept. But maybe that could be part of a sports package option along with the rear diffuser. But the base vehicle would most likely not come with such an aggressive front.

I posted this in the brake lights thread:
