Got to start some where and I'd say I'm a nitrous beginner not uneducated. Before I can be educated about it I have to first be interested.

I like learning new things.

I just got an email reply from the local strip. They said they offer refills during the summer season. The guy also gave the name of a shop a little farther away that can fill. Nice, maybe that's someone's brain I can pick.

Now maybe you can pick up that direct setup or fab one that even looks better

I would probably fab my own just for the personal satisfaction. For the shot I would want to do I think the NX plate kit is really completely suficiant. Maybe do custom hard lines for a bit of personalization. I have emailed the tuner I want to use to start a conversation about boost and nitrous.

But first things first, the turbo kit needs to be finished.

Find a welding shop. At least the one in my town refills nitrous bottles. That's where I get mine refilled.

Well I happen to own a welding shop. I see nitrous on my gas suppliers site.

If everything works out with a setup I may make the investment in a larger bottle but for starts I don't want to take that jump.

Just order a big bottle of medical grade. If you don't like it...have a party!

I got my copy on the newest Race Car Engineering and there is an article about the new Gob Stopper 2 Impreza from Roger Clark. Both GS1 and GS2 use direct port nitrous. The article also mentions the progressive controller used on the GS2. Here is the dyno graph for GS1 with an overlay of both with and with out nitrous.

Last night I spend a good amount of time talking to the guys over at Wizard of NOS in England. Great guys, they answered many questions I had, both about there parts and general nitrous use.

From where did you get that silly idea?? stock plugs in these cars are iridium and if you do a little research you will find they are actually colder than even the ones in the STI. higher compression > knocking > 1 degree colder spark plugs!! NX engineers state there is NO NEED to change the plugs for a 50 shot. They recommend it for 75 and for 100 is a must.
