@kuczynskika Well, Joel is really the guy to ask for that. I would certainly inquire. A part like this as a one off might be in the $2k range.

Said screw it and went for it.
For now I blacked out the crash beam but I’m going to mount up something to direct air on an angle from the top of the grille/crash beam area to my rad & oil cooler Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Is no one concerned about the crash safety reduction from removing the foam?

Oh, they impact people too. With foam being there or not, i guess that after some of crash types it may impact owner's wallet in way of repair budget

It’s basically a bumper support for low impact collisions so your bumper cover doesn’t get mangled if you tap something/someone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looks good @PearlAozora ! Any plans to do a mesh cover?
I always had the understanding that foam bumper inserts were only intended to minimize frame damage in sub 5mph impacts. Beyond that, I dont think they do anything.

Actually the metal bumper itself is only designed to help with low speed dings protecting the parts behind it. So insurance companies don't have to spend money on radiators ect. The foam is just an energy absorber so the bumper doesn't deform (push back) when moving at high speeds. Japanese versions of this car don't have the heavy metal bumpers.
