They provide a dyno map on their site:

The dyno is not related with our cars, but it gives a proof that it is not just a throttle remap for response.

this is what I don't understand. the thing plugs into the throttle pedal connector. it does not plug into the OBD2 plug to flash a new tune to the ECU. as far as I know, the throttle pedal connector does nothing other than send a voltage signal to the throttle plate and/or ECU. it does NOT read or write anything to the ECU.

with that said, how would this device change anything other than a more "responsive" throttle and add more power? the throttle plate can only open so much... you can't open it 120% for extra power.

It cannot give any more power. The throttle plate motor opens to its maximum position on the OEM settings. This is confirmed by logging the TPS voltages. All the ECU does is calculate the desired throttle valve from the pedal voltage, which is learnt. By changing the input does not mean that the output can be any larger. At all times on this ECU if you command WOT you get WOT. This isn't an FB20 where the torque and throttle tables are integrated with boost settings etc. It's purely for throttle plate mapping.

Totally a false dyno map, dyno your car with and without it. You're being conned.

A nice video that explains the details of sprintbooster. You can see also the delay in the throttle body:
