So with a 2.5 OP and invidia N1 it'll be somewhat higher, I assume? Still 9psi.

Do you guys have a mule running 9psi for longevity? Is 6-8psi a more reliable boost pressure?

Has it been tracked or otherwise driven hard for a few minutes?

I know I'm already going to use the kit, but I'm just curious as to the fa20s longevity in the presence of boost without low comps.

Ive tuned many cars at 9+PSI that daily and drive aggressively. Power breaks things. Not PSI. There are a lot of locals here running over 9PSI on multiple turbo kits with plenty of miles on them. And even more running even more boost on ethanol locally without issues. The twin turbo FRS that was floating around has done many try days at ~12PSI on 91 octane with tons of street miles... 0 issues so far. JDL's kit isn't going to be unique and less safe than any of the other kits out there. Hell if anything it will probably be safer... The IAT's I've seen from their normal intercooler does better than a good chunk of other kits I've worked on... Colder air = more stable combustion.

The car on the dyno posted posted above is on 91 octane still runs afaik. I know the car was sold so I have no idea who drives it or what kind of driving they indulge them selves with... The car had a stock overpipe, frontpipe, and midpipe.

Well that cleans up my worries then.

I'd most likely have a 9psi daily tune with 12psi track tune or something like that.

That's actually really good to hear. I know I'm not going to be any nicer to my engine once that turbo goes in. More frequent oil changes with 5w30 should be sufficient, right?

Just for ur piece of mind I have the uel kit with 4854 on 12psi. I was running 93 and now only use e85. I've put about 10k miles on it with no problems.
I use motul 300v(may be overkill)

Well isn't this just sounding better and better to me.

Hey @JDLAutoDesign, when's my kit coming? Jk. Take your time. It's not going in till spring but you're making me anxious with all these posts!

Working on it now...There's a chance it will ship end of next week but that will depend on coating.

I'm truly, honestly in no rush since it's gonna sit in the box all winter. Take as much time as you need. Looking forward to a quality product!

Thanks for the update!
