If you have our kit just let us know when you order and we will include brackets.

Well I guess those are some decent options!

Time to knuckle down and see how long until I buy the kit.

Thanks @JDLAutoDesign!
I would avoid delicious tuning at this point. I am on their flash and go tune, I have drivability issues they were made aware of from day one. I have yet to receive any updates or resolutions since I got the tune. I am not the only one with this issue, most of us have given up on delicious at this point.

Read through all 23 pages and didn't see an answer to my question. So what will be the difference between EL and UEL with this kit? Will it only be noise? Any difference in spool time, or power band?

Any sound clips comparing the two? Thinking about pulling the trigger on the JDL kit despite our crappy Canadian Dollar right now

To keep things on the simpler side without the technical bits , here are some of the differences between the two.

For unequal length , their is the subie rumble that is known with subarus and there is some better turbo response in the low end and some slight benefit to low end power.

The unequal length is a more harmonious sound without the subie rumble but also has its benefits. The engine volumetric efficiency is improved while top end power is improved.

There is way more technical stuff such as lower cylinder temperature variations with equal length and what effects it has on rings and all that but to make it simple , there ya have it.

As mentioned about just a very slightly different spool time. The UEL is still a rather long manifold so you won't get too quick of a spool as you would by having two runners right at the collector and right at the turbo. But you will get a slight sound difference. Due to the timing of the pulses ideally you would get a higher pressure pulse due to pulses from different runners colliding at the collector. This gives a slightly more responsible turbo but lowers the volumetric efficiency as when you have higher flow and become flow restricted the pulse collisions start adding even more restriction. Mind you this isn't a crazy efficiency change.

If I were to order a kit again I would probably do the UEL as I don't like the sound this engine makes. :p. Even though I do like how my car sounds it would probably just sound that much better!

I installed my JDL kit about a month ago and it is running strong. JDL rocks!

Bought my kit Friday of last week!

Huge thanks to Ronnie @JDLAutoDesign for the heads up on the sale.

I got a killer deal that I know I won't regret. I bought most everything I'll need for my conversion to FI.

I finally pulled the trigger, guys.

My wallet is now screaming in pain, but luckily it's pinned under my ass. Take that, wallet!

Just wrapped up a local car with all our goodies. GTX2867 UEL Kit, Fan Shroud, Catch Can, and Oil Cooler. This thing is great at 9psi

Dammit.

Even after I buy all the stuff I need you taunt me with this?

You're an enabler. You feed other's addictions.

So how does the fan shroud look?

If you have our bumper bar and are willing to loose you washer bottle we have a 3" CAI. Otherwise you are out of reality as far as space goes

Looking forward to it.

A new radiator might also be in my future, so hopefully they'd work together.
