Great write up
After reading all the trouble some folks were having getting the crack bolt off, I was surprised how easy mine came off. It took me 5 minuets to finish the install (I have a Perrin CAI installed so no stock air box to remove) |

This is great. Ordered 3 pulley set from Tomioka and am pretty sure this DIY will help me install the pulleys.
Unless, someone else has done this. Don't see any issues though. Sam |

Sounds like straight gear/supercharger whine but low volume and completely rpm dependent, and i thought it was induction noise from my k&n filter. Your post is the only instance of this whine i have found so far. How many miles have you had the pulley on? Is it still making the noise?

Just finished the install of the Perrin crank pulley.
Thanks for your DIY pictures. Checked here before loosening the pulley bolt. Two alternatives that others might find helpful. 1. Remove the air filter cover. Leave the air box in place. 2. Use an extension on the breaker bar. I used the handle section (about 36") from my floor jack to give more leverage. Didn't need sneakers to break the bolt loose. ;-) Thanks for the great help.

Can anyone suggest if it is a good option to use this pulley with the Vortech Supercharger?

To the OP,
You are a life saver, thank you! Was able to smoothly install my pulley in 30 mins flat thanks to your instructions which are far more comprehensive (read: pictures) than the Perrin one. Was surprising how much force the oem pulley required to remove. For a few seconds I thought my 30" breaker bar was gonna snap! |

Did anybody notice the tensioner vibrating after the pulley install? Not sure if this is a normal vibration with the stock pulley..i didnt notice. The vibration on the tensioner stabilizes when there is throttle. Any input is appreciated. Thanks
