I love this and am just hoping that it'll eventually become available through the US dealers' parts network. It's OEM Toyota, so why not? Is the part made in Japan?
Cheers |

Actually it is made in the Czech Rep.. Toyota Europe authorized it and tested it fully before putting their name on it. It is almost identical to the one that colHolm was testing for Scion Canada. Don't know how the whole thing ended up in Europe. The eight that arrived in the States were the first ones sold in the world.

I don't know. I hope colHolm can clarify that. He has had one in his car for at least four months. Scion Canada was asking for comments and one of the changes that was made on the Europe model was adding a slot for cables to exit the armrest.

I'm not sure I updated my thread. The piece I have now has the slot for cables.

For everyone wanting an armrest: PM jpit because he already got in trouble for selling them on here. I'm sure he can give you more info, but we don't want anymore problems with the forum rules so he can stay on here. Thanks!

colholm, how many different ones have you had in your car? Did Scion Canada turn over the development to Europe?

It was always TME developed. I was testing out a sample from them that Scion Canada ordered. At the time I started the thread, I was asked not to say anything about sourcing. From Tapatalk on my Android |
