Did you guys see the grey one (only one that will be sold in the US in that color) cross the block at Barrett Jackson last night? $500,000! The guys from Ford Racing were there talking it up like it's the second coming. $500k! WTF...

I do look forward to what you have to say about it when you get.

I have an idea...make a thread once you accept delivery
Will do

Not every test from what I've seen, but it has happened for sure. Ford admits it should be OK for 30 minutes and the press cars were passed from driver to driver so not surprising. Stupid of Ford not to ensure cool down time by bringing more cars.

Sounds like a differential cooler will be the first thing you'd want to upgrade...

Ford's New Focus RS Is A True Hero Car That Knows How To Party

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEuY88zVyi8[/ame]

Quote:
If you needed more proof of how awesome the new Ford Focus RS really is, this one is for you.

Being one of the most hotly anticipated models of the year, the new Ford Focus RS has some really big shoes to fill, thanks to its glorious ancestors.

For the first time in a Focus RS, power goes to all four wheels via a bespoke AWD system that features real torque vectoring in the rear axle and can send up to 70 per cent of the engine’s torque at the back. And let's not forget about that famous Drift mode.

The turbocharged 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine produces 345hp and is mated exclusively to a six-speed manual gearbox, allowing for a 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds and onto a top speed of 165mph.

Evo magazine share their initial thoughts on the mighty Ford Focus RS after driving it on some scenic Spanish roads.

Enjoy the pops and bangs from the exhaust, er, I mean the video.

Silly as it wasn't hard for me to find one without. Now we will see if the dealer is a jerkoff whenever the car arrives but at least people are starting to admit to paying ADMs (although so far all have been low - $1-1.5k - not that I'd pay that even but whatever).

The Road and Track review makes me actually want one of these:
http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...asts-hope-for/

I'd want it even more in a Fiesta body. It would be a resurrection of the 323 GTX. ~160" in length. A bit more power. AWD. Oh yes!

I am still excited about this car...

Had a 2011 STi Hatchback and I regretfully sold it.

My DD is a 2013 4Runner and I have a 91 Miata.

This is really the only car I would consider trading in my 4Runner for as a DD.

Here in Idaho, we do get snow so 4WD or AWD is a must for me.

And I have the lightweight RWD platform covered by my Miata...

Can't wait to see what you have to say about your Dave once ya take delivery.

Not surprised. Ford already cut some corners on the Focus ST and Fiesta ST. The latter can barely do a single hot lap without overheating coolant (showroom stock everything, coolant would go up to 255F in 70F ambient.. then limp mode would kick in). Stupidly small radiator paired to a oil-to-water heat exchanger, instead of having a dedicated oil cooler. And even with TC 'off' , it chews through brake pads due to the silly electronic torque vectoring.

All those problems are obvious within 10 minutes of spirited driving on track, yet no complaints from journalists or pro test drivers ...

Road and Track overheated the diff by sticking to drift mode and hooning. Clearly the pros are pointing it out. That said, nothing a few additional coolers can't fix.
