Hmm... That's a bit naughty one of the constant bits of praise for the car is that it comes with a full size spare.
Time to get a quote from a Toyota dealer for a replacement wheel and tyre for an 86 to use as a bargaining chip methinks. Mine's scheduled for August build, and I've already bought a spacesaver for weight and space reduction but this seems slightly underhanded. |

That is pretty crap. Should at least be a space saver wheel. Get a blow out when your driving down south (for WA guys) and your stuck. Weekend messed up waiting for a tow.
Hope they make a new flat rubber boot liner, because I'll be asking for a free one since they changed the spec after I have placed the order. |

Thanks for the info Blood86, appreciate the work youve done for us buyers.
I would have assumed this is quite a saving especially for GTS models because they no longer need to provide a spare alloy (~250?) and Tyre (~200-250). Instead we get the repair kit (~$100?). Do you know much about the kit, as in is it just a patch thing to seal the hole? A side effect would be that the car becomes lighter and the boot is now flat |

That's a bit annoying. My partner has a GTS ordered and I'd feel safer for her to have a full size spare than a tyre kit as backup.

Does this mean current owners will be able to get the flat floor carpet (going to take out my full spare and put a space saver in)?
