The engine doesn't care where it's getting the extra air, it's going to do the same thing with it, so why is this thing so gutless?
yo have you not watched any of this guys vids? u can see boost drop off as rpm increases. and what he said makes perfect sense. as rpm increases the motor sucks in more air so that 40,000 cfm is still there but not as much of an effect.

for example if motor is sucking in 10,000 cfm at red line and the blower is pushing 40,000 cfm its only 30,000 cfm of air making the pressure. at low rpm the engine is only able to suck in maybe 2,000 cfm so there is 38,000 cfm of air making boost. im using these numbers as an example not actual #'s.
think of trying to blow in a thin straw(low rpm) now blow into a 3in piece of pvc(high rpm) think of your cheeks as boost pressure.
small straw(low rpm) = high boost(cheeks puff out pressure is made)
3in pvc (high rpm) = low boost (cheeks wont puff no pressure is made)
thats the best way i can explain it. but it makes perfect sense and i want to order one now.

Or how about 6.2?

There's always something better. If you need to shit on this thread to make yourself feel better about your purchase maybe you should do some soul searching as to why that is, instead of making yourself look like an ass any further.
Always so hostile....

@fenton, has anyone been able to get 1/4 mile times or track lap improvements yet? I haven't been on here in a while.

Damn @fenton I know you must get tired of being on defense LOL.

I'm really looking forward to seeing your platform all tweaked out and upgraded with headers+ full exhaust and water/meth if you go with it.

It's apparent to me that many of the recent naysayers haven't even taken the time to read this GIANT thread - a lot of answers in there. Instead they're swooping in and making some assumptions. I think of myself as being pretty impartial - ultimately I'd love to have a turbo car, but I'm no where ready to commit the dosh and the installation. This thing can be installed, by me, in a couple hours. It can be un-installed cleanly in less than an hour. It does not make any claims to compete directly with any other mechanically driven supercharger out there, although it's pretty impressive as is (and it hasn't been fully refined yet). Lastly, keep in mind that Fenton is running this at higher altitudes.

OFF TOPIC--- I've been following this thread from the start. Everyone knew there would be controversy... and there has been. But, I gotta say I'm really surprised and impressed at how civil this conversation has been overall. There have been some nastiness, but compared to the other forums I've participated in this one has been an absolute love-fest.

Congrats to this community for creating one of the few "free marketplace of ideas" spots on the internet!

Before my charger my car sat at 191WHP 150TQ with full exhaust + tune on 92. Rev'd way faster then that. (at least 140 WHTQ across the rev range no funny business)

This doesn't impress me much since you lose so much Torque after 5k RPMS (the rev range you stay in most if your actually driving the car) cool you picked up low end torque but thats about it. Money could be spent on more reliable solutions.

Your set up must feel like it falls on its face the higher you rev it.

^ This is how 5lb's of boost should look like.

Your dyno vs my exhaust + tune dyno

I hope you didn't spend to much on all that electrical stuff.
Somebody give this man a prize!! The FIRST innovate owner that is actually happy with the SC!!! Lmao!!

I would go ESC over Innovate any day, hands down. My decision to go turbo has already been made and parts purchased but in the grand scheme of things, ESC would be second and Innovate a distant 4th (after the Vortech kit )

You've confused CFM with RPM. The compressor spins/turns at 40,000 RPM...which produces something like (I don't know the actual number) 750 CFM.

Here is why the eCharger looses impact (not efficiency) as rpm increases. Once again, my example is NOT using actual figures.

At WOT and 3000 rpm the engine is drawing (sucking) 250 cfm, and the ESC is forcing 750 cfm; a net gain of 500 cfm (750-250)

At WOT and 6000 rpm the engine is drawing 600 cfm and the ESC is still producing 750 cfm, a net gain of 150 cfm ((750-600)

Nick, you are comparing apples to alligators.

The driver of a turbo or SC car with exhaust mads and the like is *generally* looking for big HP gains.

The ESC is for the driver that is looking to improve the torque curve (on demand) on a much smaller scale.

I was very interested in the Innovative SC until the Phantom came along. The ESC meets all of my performance and reliability needs. I had concerns with 100% boost over a long ownership period. Being able to choose when I apply boost means a lot to me.

Again, you are being a hypocrite. The whole point was for people to get the facts right and respect other people's choices.

Each kit has their own pros and cons, not much point trolling people and being a belligerent arrogant douchebag, talking down to people or laugh at others.

Guys, let's get along and see how far the echarger advances with further development.

Dude, you have to be the biggest troll on these forums. Hypocrite? How?

Where is your build thread? You just go around from thread to thread talking shit to people who actually participate and contribute. You contribute shit so beat it.
