This was scarboro subaru if anyone in the gta is wondering. Gonna give subaru HQ a call. The guy behind the counter said it'll take up to a week for the CEL for a loose gas cap to disappear. Is that true? |

I suggest you stop by your local auto parts store and ask them to clear it. Best yet, invest in an inexpensive code reader and then you can read codes and make them go away ... humfrz |

ECU replaced yesterday. Had "crickets" when I pulled into the dealership for the repair so I didn't have to convince the tech to order me a new HPFP. Should have that replaced next week.
I'll let you all know if I encounter any issues with the new ECU module. |

Well here is the new intake cam actuator. This should be the cure to my CEL. I'll do my best to take pictures of the repair.
I'm really interested in how this thing works. And how it might have failed to cause this issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is there any confirmation or evidence that this is affecting a certain build date?

Another update to my continuing P0014/P0017/P0019/P000B/C1201/SL/CEL Saga:
The AVO kit has been off the car for about a month now. With the kit off, the car was still CELing and idle shaking/stalling like mad. It was almost like taking the kit off made no difference for the amount of CELs and rough idle/stalling problems I was having. Then Diablo Subaru warrantied the other side OCV assembly and an O-ring with ECUtek uninstalled off the ECU. Turning the car back to stock appeared to be a good idea to get this done. The ECU does not appear to have been flashed but I can't tell for sure. The car has been CEL/DTC/Idle stall/SL free for about 1400 miles. There is a slight idle drop lag, but the extremely rough idle and idle stall issues are gone. I still hear the chirp and feel a slight uneasiness in the drivetrain when I shift into neutral and drop the RPMs, but the last aspect could just be paranoia. We'll see what happens. Given all the crap that's happened to my BRZ so far and everything else in thread, I'm not holding my breath, but I'm praying. @Nhil Diablo's service ticket said my issues happened more frequently with "very low numbers", presumably VIN #'s i.e. early builds, like mine. Toyota replaced my VVTI Cam thinking that would solve the problem. They drove it a few miles down the road and the engine popped another CEL.
I already started the Lemon Law process, so hopefully I'll be in a new FR-S by the end of the year, or early next year. |

CEL/SL on @ 1425 miles. The service advisor says it is a cam sensor warning and has to contact Toyota on Monday. Hope it gets resolved soon.

Toyota still doesn't know how to fix my vehicle. They were told to start pulling parts off of another customer's vehicle (in for repair for unrelated reasons).
If you drive a black FR-S that's in for throwout bearing repairs you should know they are taking parts off of your car to diagnose mine. |

Ugh, mine has been dipping at idle... guess I'm calling the dealership. Fuck.
Without going through this entire thread... anyone know how good/bad North Side Toyota/Scion (Chicago) is?

This issue is certainly not losing any steam. I just logged a bunch of new entries (including some 2014 models) and it seems Toyota/Subaru are still in the dark.
