As a designer, I'd love it, but the crazy money manufacturers spent on one off homologated GT1's got out of hand, which lead to GT2 and GT3 becoming popular. Very similar to what's going on in P1 right now, Audi, and Toyota are the only big players, but P2 and the new P3 should have full fields of cars.

I think you're right though, with the new LMP3 class coming in next year, it should result in bigger grids for the world endurance championship and Le Mans.

But when I see the budgets that Audi and Porsche have spent compared to toyota even in LMP1 it is crazy money! But there was something special about the days of GT1 and the fact there were rules for homologation.

Wouldn't it be awesome to have a class for La Ferrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918
