Figured I should start sharing some of the wheels I've been acquiring for all the other fellow connoisseurs out there.

For all the public hate against car enthusiasts we endure in New Zealand, we have one upside. An abundance of cheap imports from Japan. Rules have tightened up now, but not before the market here was saturated in every kind of car from Japan. If Japan got it, we got it 2nd hand a few years later.

How does that effect me now? Well, when cars are brought over, often they're sporting goodies, especially wheels. Up until about 2005, Subarus off all kinds were extremely popular. They've gone off taste a little, as Johnny flat-peaker only wants rwd now, because he's the next DK.

So, not only are tasty wheels abundant, the 5x100 buyers market is dead. Except for me! Sellers get frustrated, prices get cheaper. Sometimes they don't even really know what they have. In the last week I've purchased 3 sets of volks for naff all. Te37's, se37k's, and gc pros. I've even put an auto notification search on some of the sites here, "5 x 100" OR 5x100 -rota , works well.

The te37's and gc pros are in Auckland (1000kms away) so I don't have them yet. The se37k's were local so I picked them up this morning.

TL;DR

Volk Racing se37k 17x8.0 +38 in bronze. Wrapped in 215/45/17.

Wheels aren't mounted, will get round to that. Will be a couple of weeks as I'm going to Australia tomorrow.

I've tried to attach some pics a couple of times, but either site or phone is playing up. Have managed to upload a few to my fb page, so click through to there (link in my sig) if you can't wait till I'm on my pc.

Curiosity / Sunday boredom got the better of me, so I cleaned and mounted them.

Didn't split the wheel/tyre to weigh, but on my cheap bathroom scales, they're 16.4kgs combined. The stock 16s with the stock 205/55/16's were 16.5kg on the same scales. I wouldn't trust that the scales are accurate to 100g, so I'd just same they're the same.

Didn't mind the stock ride height so much, until I put these wheels on. Looks fine from a distance, but the closer you get, the more ridiculous it looks.

Apologies for dirty car/phone pics.

Stock yoko compared to kumhos
