I then transfer it to my holster for carry when I leave the vehicle or if I'm going somewhere its unlawful to carry I put it between the driverside seat and the door. Not in the door cup holder thingy literally next to the seat. Its deep enough that you cant see it at all with the door closed.

I would love a picture, that would be really great. Thanks!

That and I have fucked up a seat with the clip on my holster before. Where I cary mine it fits right in the gap between the bolsters luckily but it gets uncomfortable during spirited drives that last more than 10-15 minutes.

In response to the questions about why I need it or why I would leave it in the car, like Nelsmar said there are lots of places you legally cannot carry.

Also, I don't need to carry it all the time. I live in a nice area of St. Louis but sometimes I have clients in the bad areas and St. Louis often ranks 2nd on the national list of worse places for violence, murders, and armed criminal action.

But overall I would like it to be readily accessible while driving, but not have to lock it up or move it every time I get in and out of the car.

The best way to hide it is to make people think that it is just a shift knob.

@nelsmar I dont know what you carry or if you're familiar with the term stippling on a polymer pistol but I definitely put some wear marks hitting my steering wheel with my gun when rolling myself out of the car. I'm 5 foot 5 so my seat is slammed foreword. Sometimes the clip on my knife hits the wheel to getting out. Need to be careful of that. Or buy a quick release hub!

HAH! yeah if i was a righty I would have the same problem. I am 6" but have short legs... (I don't have to move the seat for the woman if that says anything... lol). Lucky for me that means my grip goes between the driver side bolsters while getting in and out, and i don't have to worry about the wheel getting damaged! Its also convenient because I can just slide my holster out and slip it between the door & seat and then back in without having to get up or reach over and look suspicious.

Bahaha I keep my gun in my pants where it belongs.

If you are going to get car jacked,by the time you pull it out and aim you have been shot. I am 100% sure that a slow well armed dude is no match for a fast unarmed dude.

When there is a thread called "how my gun saved my car" I will sub, until then I will laugh.

I just keep my car wired to explode if it starts and I am not in it.

BOOM!

PS I own plenty of firearms. In a pickle I would call my dog to protect me, she is 10 times faster and can not be used against me.

PS PS Rambo called, on a land line of course because he is so damn old!!!

If you need a gun in your car, you need more help than a gun can give you.

I drilled a spare holster into the side of the center console on the passenger side in my last car. It allowed me to pull with my right hand.

I'd rather have one ready to go than not have one personally
