i just got back from the track with my c30 jrsc super charged brz. did not blow up. maintain it by cleaning its air filter, changing its oil and its oil filter. the supercharger itself also gets extremely hot. try to keep it cool. itll be fine. i did not drive like a baby at the track, i wound the thing up, but also let it cool down with hood open between sessions. consider the jrsc its probably the most track proven sc out there.

1) Don't worry about driving your mom's Corolla for a few weeks if that's not a big problem. If you have to do that your car will feel like a rocket when you get back into it 2) Save up $$$ for if/when things do happen 3) Make a plan if things go wrong - make sure you have a reputable shop convenient to you to help fix things if/when they go wrong. I think if you do those two things, you can relax a bit about the possibility of things going wrong. If they don't, you're good. If they do, you have the $$$ and plan to keep the car sorted out and on the road. Good luck and enjoy it! |

I just went through the same process. Paid a good buddy to install my used 210 intercooler, and installed my JR dual cooler and flex fuel kit for1500$. He replaced all the crappy hardware and the plastic barbs I will say this get the Jackson racing dual cooler if your in warmer weather you will 100% want this for peace of mind. I beat on my car with back to back back pulls and I have no worries on temps. The only thing I am working on is getting IATs down. Will be adding hood vents and brake ducks and I will be done with this car for a while. Like others said have a raining day fund to fix the motor when it pops. There is no guarantee when adding FI to an non FI engine. Just enjoy the car but I always say this:
Proper tune(your getting one of the best with Moto east) Proper install. These are the 2 most important things Other things is understand the basic of tuning. This will help you when doing the etune with moto-east. Understand how the kit works so you can at least do some basic troubleshooting. This will also help to know when you should Park the car vs something you drive with. Get the Bluetooth ecutek kit so you can monitor temps, afr, knock, and IAM. I use Android auto so I have this always on in my car to watch and running on my phone. This will make sure you stay at the proper afr under full load. Sent from my GM1915 using Tapatalk

Hey bud, For reference my BRZ had an avo turbo kit and I was doing 12.5psi towards the last year I owned it, I slapt it on the car as soon as it hit 2 months right after I bought it new so around 2,000ish miles. I would track it often and for the 4 years I had it I never ran into a problem. The ONLY issue I had was that my clutch starts slipping at 3.5K and would grab again at 4K so that had to get upgraded. Also Florida heat so the car was in constant 90+F temps during summer and 75+ during winter season. I would say get a really good reputable tuner. Edit: Forgot to mention 93 Octane & Stock block

I had a flash & go setup from delicious tuning, never had a single problem with those guys honestly. I think they're still on this site. I just logged back on after like over a year because I have no idea where the car I sold went. Would be nice to know what it's doing now. Edit: 2015 Sunlight Silver BRZ for reference So the year all the camshaft issues were fixed, if anyone is running FI sub year 2015 i'd tread cautiously.
