Exclamation 2013 BRZ Chirp fix?

I couldn't seem to find anything useful in a google search so i decided to see if anyone on here can help.

ive been dealing with this fuel pump cricket for a while now and actually fixed it for a while with the deatschewerks fuel pump following some online recommendations. but as the chirps aren't coming from the pump itself I'm wondering if anyone has fixed it by changing the fuel lines or anything of that nature. if so, maybe someone can point me in the direction of where i could get the parts?

Could you upload a video of this "chirp" that you are experiencing? I've heard the normal fuel pump chirp but perhaps we could help better if we hear what it sounds like

Is it your AC compressor engaging? In my mind, it oddly kicks in on the overrun, all the time, most of the time.

i havent been able to catch it in the act since the other day, but this video shows the same issue, mine is just slightly less intense.

@thomasmryan im fairly sure its the fuel lines unless the ac works with the fuellines or something weird like that. from my understanding its water building up in a certain part of the hose causing the chirp to appear

That's the crickets. Some people think there was a few fix on the 2016 with a new pump. But some still get the crickets. Search cricket fix and have fun reading.

It isn't THAT helpful for you but using gas that doesn't have ethanol added usually stops it

You replaced the low-pressure in-tank pump, not the high-pressure fuel pump. The crickets come from the HPFP.
I think deatschewerks is pretty sleazy to call their in-tank pump a "high-pressure" pump so it comes up in a google search.

Yeah, but to be fair, it sounds like an ANGRY sewing machine.

We get angry crickets. Crickets with attitudes. CWA- Scion should have named this car the CWA, not the FRS.

get a full exhaust setup that includes UEL headers, over pipe, front pipe, and a cat back exhaust so that you cannot hear the crickets unless you're in your garage. that's the only fix so far unless the 2017 MY fixes that problem lol
