Just did an equity trade with my 2015 WRX with about 24000 miles on the odo. In return I opted for a used FR-S with 9500k on the odo. Since 2008 I've owned 5 WRX's (07,08,2 x 2012's,&2015) and an 08 VW GTi for the brief Euro kick. So to say I'm a Subaru fan is understatement. Only thing I noticed Scion on this car is the emblems. So I don't feel I'm straying too far. The 15 WRX was huge improvement out of the box compared to other WRX's I've owned in the past IMO. All I can say I'm very happy with my FR-S. Luckily I get to drive a windy mountain road on my daily commute and every time that ass end gets a little loose there is a smile ear to ear that basically no car has replicated before. Of course I miss the power of turbos-past but that is quickly forgotten and can be had if I felt like spending some duckettes. This one probably won't leave the collection and have a permanent place in my garage.

In the long term, the first two years of stock FR-S will be the ones to have. Tail happiness is king.

Thanks! Yesterday didn't feel real when I was picking it up.
It was about a month process of waiting for it to come in and making the trip to go get it. Before I had my FRS, I had a 2012 wrx and while I loved it, I knew I had settled. I wanted a blue STI but I talked myself out of it. Then 6 months later, I started to regret it lol. I made sure to wait for exactly what I wanted this time around. I still love the FRS and I'll remember all the awesome times I had with the car. I still recommend the car to friends on a regular basis. But my priorities and needs with a vehicle have changed in the past year and it was just time to move on.

I have never been a STI fan based on looks alone and the things that made them special to some (i.e. bugeyes) I found butt ugly. The 15s however got away from the traditional designs and are actually very nice. It is one of those styles that just doesn't come across well in pictures though and you really need to see them in person.

Agreed. They look awkward at some angles, especially in pictures. I think they look quite a lot better in person. I don't think the wrx/STI has ever been a "pretty" or "beautiful" car though. I think they look "cool" or "aggressive" but that's about it. However, the interior on these is a HUGE improvement over the 2012 wrx that I had and that alone is a major plus. I feel that I'm pretty unbiased when it comes to my thoughts on vehicles, especially ones that I own. I'm not afraid to say what I don't like about a car. After a month or two, I'll probably post a review on what I think compared to the FRS as I know there are others on the forum who are debating over one of these (wrx likely) and the FRS.

I know one of the salesmen pretty well at the dealer (bought my last wrx there from him too) and I asked him to keep me updated on it when it came in. He said there were 3 that came in: 1 white, and 2 WRB. They still have a red '15 sitting there too so I imagine somebody will be able to swing a nice deal on that one. It came in late last week and he held it in the back for me until I was able to go up there yesterday to pick it up.
