We totally understand on backorders and it is very frustrating having to make customers unhappy. We are confident on this next shipment as we have a batch on order.

Thanks,

Thank you!! I will be ordering these from you as I know this isn't your fault and you have been very helpful and quoted me a more than fair price. I'm just hesitant after shelling out cash on other parts and they were supposed ship in November. I don't mind companies taking time for proper R&D and quality fabrication but I wish they were a little more honest and forthcoming with vendors so they don't look bad to their customers. I'll check the other thread for updates and hopefully once they give you the real date there will be one available for me...

Now I'd be interested in hearing that! The buddy club is pretty beastly all by itself. Probably sound like a car with a wastegate dump...all the time.

Won't the car lose power going to UEL?

Not trying to start a debate, legitimately curious as I thought most testing to date showed the EL was superior to UEL on boxer motors, taking the sound out of the equation.

its been discussed multiple times. UEL and EL are practically the same on the borla dyno chart and both show gains

it juste depends if the manufacturer has actually made calculations and testing for UEL. I'm just giving an example here, if you go twice as long on one side, you just have to tune the header so that the exhaust pulses that come from the longer side come in right behind the short side. once the engine starts up and has turned over more than 5 times, the pulses won't be delayed by the longer side. I don't see a big loss there if, as I said, research has been done.

I'm also not saying EL=UEL either, pretty sure a EL header will outperform UEL if both a well researched, but it aint like the UEL will be a horrible choice to make power wise.

Typically the difference between EL/UEL is the position of the curve. Most of the time the UEL manifolds make peak torque and hp sooner, and with EL manifolds it shifts to the right. It all depends on where you want it really.

also i think when it comes to our NA motors. the difference between the best researched EL header vs borla's UEL/any well made UEL will be a small amount, if any. on boosted subaru's EL makes a huge difference, but here i think it will be a mere handfull of WHP, and in many cases it will all fall upon the tune.

This is why I went with UEL, should be more TQ down lower for AutoX.

I'm not sure there's really a difference at all on our cars. Like you said the well designed uel is an improvement. According to borla (always skeptical of mfr claims) the difference of their el and uel (good comparison as both are an improvement, well engineered and built by same people) was minute. Like <2 HP difference. Both saw gains across the torque curve over stock as expected. But the 2hp was to the uel down low and 2+/- up top was the el. So maybe a tune would accentuate characteristics? My experience with air cooled vw says it doesnt matter. But there's about 80 years of engineering difference there haha

Exactly the same reasoning here. We'll see how it plays out.
