There's this thread and this thread.

Here is the TSB from Subaru that covers it.

Thanks!
So wildly enough, someone commented that the previous owner of my car had the 2015 harness
"It's interesting that you are running the new MY15 coil packs with the redesigned connector but still experiencing the same issues.. I wonder what the point of the redesign was then?"

So adaptor allows for 2017 coils. The harness is for 2015-2016 coils. I'm a bit confused. Do I go up to 2015 harness and then the adaptor for 2017 coils?

This is going to sound elementary. But when you come off track are you popping the hood and letting the car vent and cool down?

Hood vents be dammed, when you're just sitting still air is stagnate and you'll cook coils

I do now (took me a while but I figured it out) but after a 30 min session in texas summers, it still happens.

I will likely upgrade the hood regardless of all this at some point and install more cooling, but I’m wayyyy too deep in cost in this winter refresh right now (plus the simulator to keep me busy while she’s under the knife!).

Update:
Car does not have the TSB update harness. Am going to do that and the pigtails to get 2017 coils.

Anything else?

Also an update. They apparently don't even make the 2013 coils anymore. Dealer said discontinued. Idk, guess it doesn't really matter for me, but that's odd.

I can find and buy it online. 22433AA652, been superseded twice. He may be looking at -650 or -651.

While a vented hood did bring down under-hood temps, it did not reduce how often my 2013-14 coils failed. I had three go bad over 2 years. (mostly #1 and #2).

Upgrading to 2015+ coils is the way to go, but you'll need an adapter.

Same issue.
Got the upgraded harness and coils. Super excited about something else being the weakest link (trans?), lol.

New engine, new harness, new trans, new diff, new gearing, new (rebuilt) coil overs and new bushings. Bunch of little things (removable steering wheel, better gauges/mounting, hard wired SOLO, etc). Can't wait. Wish I would have rebuilt the calipers and gone with different pads but it slipped my mind. Doh!

NA the Trans is fine. Boosted its glass in certain gears and WTQ numbers

My issue has been sycros I think this is my 3rd trans in about . Seems to be a common problem with them with track use. I'll probably go through them even faster now that I have steeper gears and will shift more.

Anyway, I did a two session engine break in and shake down. Car felt fantastic. Part of it I'm sure is the adjustable camber arms and adjustable sway bar I added, but I'm sure a big part was that BSP did a fantastic job on the suspension setup and alignment.

I'm gonna try to get another day out of these tires with the engine under 6k rpm, then add fresh tires and really let her rip.

It has been a little slower than anticipated on the manufacturing side but they are coming along. I currently have 20 sets at powder coat I'm waiting to get back. Then they will be available!
