I was thinking about getting a universal 8-10" suction cup mount and mounting it on my left side of the dash, in portrait orientation, blocking the left AC vent. It would also be convenient if it was mounted in front of the head unit and AC controls, but I am concerned about my hand potentially slipping off the shift knob and punching my tablet. Most people seem to have used the 7" nexus tablet with pretty good success, the larger size makes it a bit of a tight fit. Any suggestions before I go spend more money?
Check out the exogear tablet mount

Mate this is by far the most popular version of our mounts, easy install and completely removable in one second when you leave the track. http://www.stuggracing.com/Tablet-Mo...let-mount.html.

If you have a want to use a tablet which isn't listed through the website then just get the generic one and but a hard shell case for your tablet, the kit comes with everything you will need to attach the shell and tell you how to attach it.

Most people do hit the tablet when mounted in front of the AC controls, plus it takes your eye down a long way when at the track.

Does anyone know if the Transmission Temp is working? Torque Scan shows it as an active PID(?) and it receives data but shows the exact same temp as the coolant.

The mounts I have designed are now for sale. Each set is individually designed for the specific tablet for perfect fitment and easy install. Right now I have sets for 1st gen Nexus 7, 2nd gen Nexus 7, and the iPad mini. 3M tape holds the mounts on. If you want to remove the mounts it takes a good amount of force but the tape doesn't leave behind any residue or marks.

I can change the design of these mounts for other tablets if I get enough interest. So far it has sold very well to the Nexus and iPad mini family.

Regarding CARISTA, this work well but with few possibilities.
I don't Know whether is it possible to lock the doors when drive at around 10Kmh. It exist some external plugs which does this operations but no believe accurate for our GT86/FRS/BRZ.
Have you experienced such function.
On the other hand to validate a change you have to buy Pro version, it is not a problem but how do this and what is the complete list of possibilities.
Thanks your advice.

I just put this mount in my car this weekend. It cost me $45 (US) in total to ship to Toronto - $35 for the parts, $10 for shipping.

I highly recommend this part. It is so simple and looks like it just belongs there.

I just got this all set up in my car this past weekend. Is there throttle position sensor that shows the true position of the throttle pedal?

The ones I have gone through so far either show 20% when at 0 and 80% when at full or 0% at 0 and 70% at full.

Anybody know?

Sorry about that. It should be $10 for shipping. I just fixed the website so you should be good to go.

AFAIK, it's not possible to get exact throttle (and brake pedal) positions with Torque, but those dedicated dataloggers ($$$) can.

I'm not sure if it's addressable in Torque, but it sounds like you're looking for the accelerator pedal position sensor. There should also be 2 throttle position sensors. One will go from 0-100, and the other will be 100-0.
