Are FR-S stereos bus based?

I know in newer Toyota's, the stereo's are now bus based. This means you don't have the traditional wires connecting the head unit to the amps, subwoofer, etc. Instead there's pretty much a single line that sends packets of information destined for predetermined components. Does anyone know if the FR-S is using this type of system, or a more standard stereo setup? I basically want to know if I'll have to rip out all of the wiring, or only some...

The FR-S radio is just like the 2012 Scion standard radio. It will use standard old school Toyota connectors (same since the early 90s, if not earlier than that) with a connection for steering controls and 1 set of Pre-Amp outs (Subwoofer). I heard there is an external amp under the passenger seat, but I haven't seen it myself. I'll verify that once I see it

apparently there will be an external amp in all models, just not sure where it's going to be mounted.
