I don't think there's anything sad or unfortunate about her death. If anything, it was a matter of time. She made her choices and went out in a ball of fire.

After surviving SEVERAL near misses when I was doing my thing in the navy, I felt nothing but pure relief after my last mission. I had fulfilled an obligation long after I was over it. She did that shit on purpose.

Then again it's just a matter of time for all of us isn't it? My ball of fire will probably be a clogged artery somewhere down the line....

So, because we all drive, it won't be sad if any of us crash? (driving is most likely the most dangerous thing we do)

Your logic skills are extra ordinary. Do I really need to pick apart how wrong this is, or do you think you can handle it yourself?

As a person who takes calculated risks for a living...

I do think jets should have wings.

That said, I get wanting to get paid to go fast.

Also I love alpha type women and she wasn't bad looking either.

Would I drive a 500mph car*, I don't think so.

Can you die in a 30mph crash though, yes.

Should we hate on a women on dying doing what she loves, no.

Did she deserve it, no.

Did she know what she was risking, yes.

Can I program computers and probably make $100/hr from home, yes.

Do I choose to fly jets instead because I want to go 500mph with my hair on fire, yes.

Is it a lot less risky than doing so in a car, yes.

Is it completely safe, no.

Is driving my car to the airport more dangerous, yes by a large margin.

It would be chilly in the mornings when we would start riding, hence the sweatshirt. The jeans offered a bit of protection when I fell off. They were white, as well as was my helmet, to reflect the hot California mid day sun.

I wasn't tupid, I just looked that way -

Sure, but it won't make any difference. I am correct in having my own opinion. You have yours. Thanks for sharing.

After all those years, I still feel sad for Ayrton Senna. He was doing a dangerous thing. But that does not diminish my sadness for his unfortunate death. I didn't know this lady, RIP.

It's almost like feelings about someones death are entirely subjective.

I think this falls under the Premillennial saying of "If you dont have something nice to say, say nothing at all)

She was a badass in the extreme sport arena, and a damn good role model for women and girls, and beyond that for anyone who was a nothing to make themselves into something.

The fear of death did not stop her, and neither should it you.

why do you insist on lighting your hair on fire? do you only fly once it's grown back enough to be re-lit?

yep. i was thinking about it after i read the news about it over lunch. i'm sad it happened, but i didn't know her.

there's absolutely no reason that women can't compete at the same level as men in automotive sports, and i'm happy she succeeded in proving that point.

I would prefer the ball of fire while trying to set a world speed record! Doubt that is in the cards though.
