Sway Bar Creaking

I have a Whiteline 20mm front sway bar and every time I go over a bump it makes a creaking sound. I think it's probably the bushings that are making the noise. What's the best way to get rid of the sound? I was going to lube the bushings when I installed it, but it said on the instructions that Whiteline bushings didn't need to be lubed. Kind of confused as to why it sounds like this if that's the case.

Probably lube it and get use to the noise the stiffer poly bushings make

Just use the right type of lube, so you don't affect the plastic. fwiw Hotchkis suggests a non-lithium based moly grease for their bushings.

Can anybody suggest a good lube to use on Whiteline bushings? Also, what's the story with teflon tape? I've heard that can get rid of squeaking as well.

Teflon tape does a great job for sealing pipe threads, and technically it will work on sway bars. It's not the best solution.

Use a dedicated grease (Silicone, Lithium, or Molybdenum Di-Sulfide). Prothane and Energy suspension have their own formulations, which appear to be a silicone w/ PTFE particles suspended in it.

I can't link to a non-vendor site... but there are many suppliers. Even your local auto parts store will have suitable lubes (typically labeled "synthetic brake caliper grease")
