That's cool guys I knew a lot of people wouldn't like the change, I do though and that's all that matters If the grams had been a lighter color or even just a glossier finish I probably wouldn't have changed them. Gotta go a little lower though in a couple months.

I put some money back in my pocket with the change too which was part of the plan, got a fa20 intake on the way and tanabe strut bar from whataboutbob coming soon also.

I know man. We talked a bit about the H Techs when mine were for sale and you were debating whether you wanted to install yours or not. Don't sweat the chrome at all. With more drop it will look fantastic. Any wheel with a lip like that will look best with no gap at the tire to fender.

Yeah since I had to buy rear lca's to fix the camber anyways I could have went a little lower. I was hoping my camber would be ok but it was a whole degree off probably from the factory. I'm still thinking about trying the Tein street basis too, they are either gonna be crap or an awesome value suspension. I just don't want to have to redo it if they suck lol.

Hey JoeB I think you maybe the best to ask this one...

I am considering a square wheel/tire fitment and looking at 18x8.5 +35 all around. How do you think that would work with 225/40's at both stock height and with a 1" drop? I hate the 'suck' of the stock wheels especially at the rear, and want a square setup for rotation reasons (25k miles per yr here)
At the same time I don't want rub or to add spacers if I can avoid it.

I've seen others with 18x8 +35 and it sounds like that works, but you are the only person I have found who has done a square fitment at around the same width.

Thanks

I have ran 18x8.5 +44 (gold dpt), +38 (gram light), and the 18x8.75 +35 xxr's. I ran 235/40r18 nitto motivos on all those and they all fit very week with the Rotas being a little too tucked and close to the strut. If you aren't going to lower I like the 235/40 size just look for a short one the overall diameter of most is around 25.4 inches just be careful the tire you are looking at isn't any taller than that. I love my new continental dw's. 225 will work too but will have too much wheel gap IMO if you don't lower it.

Project mu pads and probably just centric premium blanks. I don't track it but will upgrade to a bbk up front if I ever do get a turbo or supercharger.

If the motiv intake manifold and header makes some good power I may just stay NA.

I guess you had to get a turbo with that new ST in the family huh?

My apologies, you posted the brakes and I missed it... doh!

Curious about that intake myself, read it spoken of in passing. Where's there info to read on it?

As far as the ST goes, the GF wanted something that wasn't slow anymore... Bob (Drift Office) helped me talk her into an ST as opposed to a Veloster turbo. She's happy with the purchase, I enjoy the car too.

As far as me needing a turbo... I'm on the fence about it, if I decide against it I'll consider letting someone buy me out of the turbo kit deposit. I might move on to something else. "Something else" would be a C7, a lightly used/CPO M3, or a used 996TT, or....? I dunno. We'll see.

Mine should be here by Wednesday I'll post a thorough review but there is a thread somewhere with dyno numbers. I definitely think you made the right choice on the ST, I really like the looks of the focus sedan titanium with the 18" wheel package. If they made an awd sedan ST it would have been hard to pass up for sure.

Little update, not much going on lately but have been running E85 for about a week and it really is worth it, hopefully i can get flex fuel, header, and intake manifold to keep me happy power wise.

I've been getting a lot of compliments lately, the Yoshihara Champions definitely have gotten the most positive feedback so far. Waiting on the Tanabe strut bar and some hood struts right now and here are the very near future plans, not much changed from above.

Perrin auto shift knob installed today, slim version in black
Paint match oem splash guards and install
Audio system designed and tuned by @cruzinbill using RF BRT amps and undisclosed drivers
Motiv Concepts cat back exhaust

Summer Plans:
Eibach Pro-Street coilover system with TRD upper mounts
Perrin 19mm front sway bar
Perrin Oil Cooler
Motiv Concepts Header

@JoeBoxer LOVE you car, man! One of the cleaner whiteouts I've seen! I also love the BR-Z vents. You've got me thinking now, lol! Keep up the transformation! Nicely done!
