Took some rough measurements of the center part of the OE overpipe and imprint left by the header flange's inner circle - about 1mm. So about 0.5mm of flange overlap squeezing on both sides of the gasket. Now I'm surprised it leaked so little.

2.5" overpipe has an extra ~ 5mm per side if perfectly centered.

Just got my nameless header and motiv overpipe on today ( surely i was the last one out of the first batch)
( already had nameless downpipe / axle back)

just went for a nice long drive avoiding cops, who are everywhere these days
WOW, its awesome
the car feels great

yeah, not sure what that metallic sound is at 3500 rpm
but heaps of power and otherwise great sound ( especially in a tunnel = ears still ringing)

nice stuff Nameless Performance, thats some devilish work

for those with OFT and running Stage 2 EL tune before nameless header installed
have you reflashed or left as is following header installation?

it seems to run ok without reflashing for me

I have a similar metallic rattle/vibration sound that starts around the same RPM. I'm not sure if anything is going to get it to go away.

My guess is the thinner walling and the length of the pipe that connects to the overpipe section is probably where a harmonic resonance occurs at that RPM. Might have to look at some sort of wrap to fix that especially if multiple people are hearing it. May also be occurring in the front pipe.

I hear it too, you can hear it if you hit the header around the collector area with your fist.

Yeah, probably due to the size of that long extension. That might be a tough one to tackle.

i thought the metallic sound was the VVT angle change from the OFT/flash as it was obvious before the header installation.

Now the header just amplifies that sound.

There are a few threads on this metallic sound already, all started before the nameless header came out

Is everyone who can hear the metallic sound running a tune?

I have been tuned for probably a year, and its not a sound I've heard prior to installation. I went around under the car looking for some sort of vibration, but didn't find anything.

Maybe the sound is occurring in the OP/FP? Mine is catted with the Helmholtz resonator.

I got the sound on a stock tune with the fp/op combo and any cat-back I've yet tried.

What brand fp/op are you running and are you catted and resonated or no?
