ol/cl delay , the '86 Achilles heel. Sounds like Mike has it figured out which is great.

The non audible part isn't good either. Don't assume that all tuners have have put in the time to figured out how to shorten the delay.

It is explained here:
http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewt...hp?f=25&t=1603

But that was from when things were easier.

Note the post in this thread where a WRX owner recommends against stomping on the throttle:

I think it is more tip in enrichment than closed to open delay. I always set my timers to zero and transition based only on load (from the fuel map) and i still get the tip in knock, often after hitting open loop. BRZedit does not have all the tip in tables defined yet and i can see the lean spike on tip in. I'm not boosted yet so it's not as big of a worry for me. Not sure if ecutek has the tip in tables defined or re codded or not.

No easy task IMO....the blower pushes that air in there awfully quick if you stomp on it.
As someone looking to purchase the innovate SC, is this something to worry about? I plan to get everything done at RT Tuning which i hear you work with a lot. Is this something that I should point them to before going forward?

If you need to point them to it, they may not be the right person to tune the car for you. I can recommend both @moto-mike and @DeliciousTuning - William @DeliciousTuning is likely closer to you if you're on the west coast.

I doubt I would have to, Moto-mike tunes at their shop a lot and they are very reputable. Its a new system on a new car so I thought it was good to ask.

Yep, mike's great. I wasn't sure if you were having him tune it remotely at RT, or having RT tune it.

Havent decided on how I want to go about tuning it yet. I would like a dyno tune but remote tunes are slightly more cost effective

Remote dyno tune. You can pay a shop to use their dyno and set up a remote tuning session with your tuner.

You can go either route. We're not too far in Nazareth but we work closely with the R/T folks on this platform (and others). If you go there we'll make sure they have our latest to start, and Vince and Andy will get you taken care of no problem; I just don't have the time to get them all in (we only have one dyno and the remote stuff keeps me busy) so I send the base maps to them at times and they are more than capable of doing the rest.

Thanks,

Can Mike or any Ecutek tuners comment on this, do you have access to all the tip in tables to fix the issue ?

It's enough work to maintain the list with links and dyno numbers. You'll have to do your own research through the links provided to determine more info on each particular install.
