Rolling Fenders

Was wondering if anyone rolled the rear of their brz/frs? I've heard that rolling the rears aren't possible due to the fenders creasing when rolled? Please help. Thank you.

Not much there to roll. The fronts are rolled flat already and the rears have the smallest lip I think I've seen haha. What size tires are you trying to run?

Rolled mine. It can be done. Not much of a lip though so you dont get a lot of extra clearance just by rolling. By adding a tiny amount of flare/pull though, you can gain some decent clearance.

Just start in the middle and work your way out

Ok I gotcha. Have you test fitted them yet? Reason I ask is because I run an 18x9.5 et38 (so yours will stick out a half inch further) but I run a 255 wide tire no problem. Especially in the rear. I could see you having a little problem in the front, but with the tire you are wanting to run maybe not. Like I said the front are flat already so you'd have to pull a little bit if the camber didnt get you where you wanted. Again, I think the rear is possible with no fender mods (just camber) but only a test fit will know, which is why I had asked if you had tried yet. Didn't know if you already had the wheels/tires or if those are what you were looking at getting.

Thank you for your help. Yeah the wheels have been ordered. I know people were fitting 9.5 +38 with 265 so I figured I could get away with a +25 on a 225/40 tires. I'll just pull the fronts a little then and run more camber in the rear. Good thing I ordered adjustable LCA. Thank you kind sir for your help.

Please please please don't stretch a 225 on a 9.5" wheel. Function > form.

i rolled mine. its a joke as to how easy it was. you dont NEED to do it but i jsut wanted to never have issues. better to nip it before you run into troubles.

the other key thing is to roll the flare by the side markers in the front. the front is rolled flat but then flares out, those that want to run meaty tires, you will rub on that under hard turn in...ask me how i know.

fyi i'm running 18x9.5 +40 265/35 all around.

I hear you. This is just temporary. I will eventually switch to a meaty stance once I get back from deployment. I had spare 225/40 laying around that have never been used.

Thanks for the info Jive. I've been following your build before I bought the brz. I love the way your brz looks. I don't think id br able to fit a 265/35 on 18x9.5 +25 wheels. Maybe a 255?

Like I stated. This is just temporary. I'll eventually switch to a meatier setup.
