Unless climate was almost identical... On a part like this the power difference between 2 vehicles may be in the same ballpark as the power gain / loss range of the intake. If the torque curve changes then we can see that but the actual power values would be skewed. =(

It is warm enough here that the ECU starts pulling timing just from actual ambient temperature. Even if you had an absolute perfect intake system you still hit the columns of the OEM rom that pull timing (40-50c is the first block).

I typically see 130-135HP on the dyno I use for stock MT cars. I could easily overlay one that made 135 vs a 130 and it would look like a 5HP gain throughout most of the powerband even though the cars were identical. I am quite curious to see how this does turn out though but would love to see a complete back to back test. However as you know it is a rather painful experience to install something like this on the dyno :P

yea unfortunately it`s not 100% accurate. sorry I`m just an average joe, not a shop guy so I don't have access to every controls in the test Shawn Church has done enough testing on these cars though, so he`ll probably be able to tell me what it should be at certain temps.

btw, I`m not really trying to sell the intake design. I don't think it`ll be that much of a difference to be honest, and that`s ok with me. if it makes more power, great, if not, oh well. hopefully the MAF info will reveal more valuable info.

I never took your post as a sales pitch! I have been been waiting for someone to pick one of these intakes up so that we can see how it works! Any testing will still be nice!

Can you do a video of the intake sound while driving? or you can't really hear it from inside the car? :P

let me find a good camera to do that in. you can definitely hear it. it`s a bit of a different sound than the greddy intake I had.
